GPC: buy certified, store carefully

Gold potassium cyanide at 68.2% gold content is the industry standard gold source. Insist on sealed packs with certified gold content — GPC adulteration is the oldest trick in the trade. Store sealed, dry and documented; at current gold prices your GPC inventory is a vault item.

Colour control

Gold colour (Hamilton, rose, green) is alloy chemistry — nickel, copper or silver co-deposits shift hue, and bath temperature and current density shift it further. Fix your operating window and log it; 'same bath, different colour' complaints almost always trace to drifting current density or temperature.

Silver and tarnish

Bright silver deposits tarnish in weeks unless protected. An anti-tarnish passivate dip or clear lacquer after plating is cheap insurance on inventory that may sit in a showcase for months.
